Frank Yeboah is poised to succeed the current Member of Parliament (MP), Benito Owusu Bio, as the next parliamentary candidate following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) primaries in the Atwima Nwabiagya North Constituency.
Mr. Yeboah, a native of Dabaa, contested against Benito in both 2016 and 2020. With a wealth of knowledge, he is considered the frontrunner to assume the role left vacant by Benito, who has opted not to run for a fifth consecutive term as MP for the constituency.
Frank currently holds the position of Director of Procurement and Projects at the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).
Frank Yeboah’s passion for humanity and human development traces back to his school days at Kumasi Polytechnic, now Kumasi Technical University (KTU), where he ardently advocated for the UP tradition. He delved into full-fledged politics during John Kufuor’s leadership bid in Sunyani, organizing like-minded youth in support.
Maintaining a consistent vision for human development, Frank presented himself as an aspirant to serve the Nwabiagya North Constituency in 2016.
In the upcoming primaries, Frank’s opponent is Lawyer Dickson Osei, a former aspirant who previously ran as an independent candidate against Benito, the party’s chosen candidate for five consecutive terms.
Frank holds a Master of Science Degree in International Accounting from Anglia Ruskin University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, and a Certificate in Management of Drug Supplies from the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association, all in the United Kingdom.
Professionally, Frank is an accomplished Chartered Certified Accountant and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), an associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) UK, a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Ghana, a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) UK, and a member of the Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply (GIPS).
His extensive knowledge and practical experience in leadership, insurance, accounting, audit, business management, and financial management led to his appointment as a Member of the Board of Directors of Serene Insurance Company Limited.
Frank serves as the Board Chairman of Apagyamma Co-operative Credit Union.
During his professional journey, Frank began his career with Martin Morrison & Co, Chartered Certified Accountants, serving initially as an Audit Associate in the United Kingdom and later advancing to the role of Account/Audit Manager within the same firm. Subsequently, he took on the position of Audit Manager at Opoku, Andoh & Co, Chartered Accountants and Consultants, an ACCA platinum employer in Ghana.
Frank later assumed the role of Managing Director at Loyalty Insurance Company Limited. Additionally, he held the position of Internal Audit and Compliance Manager at Activa Insurance Group, overseeing responsibilities across the West African sub-region.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Frank wears the hat of a community leader as the Chief Executive Officer of The Frank Yeboah Foundation, a non-profit organization. This foundation serves as a platform for his initiatives in skills and apprenticeship training, community development, and humanitarian efforts, focusing on areas such as education, health, business, entrepreneurship, and agriculture.
