High-Speed 5G internet service officially launched in Ghana

As previously hinted by the Minister of Communications, Next Gen Infraco (NGIC) has announced the launch of 5G services in Ghana today(November 1, 2024), partnering with global tech leaders Nokia, Radisys, & Tech Mahindra to deliver high-speed, reliable connectivity across the nation.

The high-speed 5G internet service, initially covering Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, as the government seeks to enhance connectivity throughout the country.

The 5G rollout, was announced by Communications and Digitalisation Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful. This makes Ghana one of the first countries in West Africa to adopt this. The 5G rollout, was announced by Communications and Digitalisation Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
